Some might have noticed a dramatic decrease in the number of forum members.

The missing members have been deleted because they were inactive. Many had not used their account for years, and a large number of people just signed up, and never logged in.

While the current number may seem low, it really repressents the number of ACTIVE members on the board. Active meaning that they've logged in at least once in the past 6 months.

I'll regularily purge old accounts from now on, there'll be no predetermined schedule, but I'll try to do it at least once a month.

Cool.

I'll try to log in at least once a month... depending on time constraints.

Hey Chano,

I am just reading this topic and I noticed that the stats at the top of the topic said there were currently 0 members and 0 guests logged in !
Does that mean that I am one of those members you have been deleted ?
Or do moderators not count as Guests or Members ?

If you were, you'd been unable to login in the first place Tongue

Well just by going through the message board it looks like that there are people that I know that have signed up here from other forums.

Does anyone remember Casey Donovan from Australian Idol 2?  Well it looks like her dad is a member of the forum.  (I'm 100% positive).  He's really cool, and its great that he has good taste  grin

Hopefully we'll be back up past 100 members soon enough.

Well, as long as it's just the same what? 10-15 people who post all the time, I'd rather have just a few active members like a lot of inactive ones.. But that might just be me?

Yep, I mean't her step dad is a member of this forum.  He's got an amazing sence of humour, and he's really cool.  I'm positive he is a Nikki supporter as well.  Most Casey Donovan fans respect Nikki  tongue

I think a lot of Forums, Message Boards and even Discussion Groups that people actually visit in person (as opposed to visiting via the Internet) will always have a lot more "listeners" than contributors.

Some of the "listeners" will be new members ... getting a "feel" for the place, before risking opening their own mouths and making a fool of themselves.

Others will be people who have come to learn. And for that task you use your ears (and eyes), not your mouth.

Of course I would prefer that all members post their own comments and opinions from time to time, but I don't mind the forum having lots of members who don't, just as long as they all log in pretty frequently to read all the news and gossip (that's when there is any to read !).

What I will agree with Chano over, are the relatively useless members who join, but then never, or hardly ever, bother to visit the site to see what is going on.

Why not just get Chano to change your name on the Dani account instead of making a new one? Then you don't lose your post count and we're not doubling up?
