How come some people like James and Matt have got weird postcounts? James is 'Posts: 1A0', odd!

It did... I now have 1A1 posts!

I think it's in hexadecimal...

1A1 = 1*256 + 10 * 16 + 1 = 417

Just to make people wonder, I've set the forum to use base 16, instead of the regular base 10.

Base 16 is also known as HEX or Hexadecimal.

Basicallly I'm just playing a little around.. Base 2 (Binary) would be even more fun, but unfortunally it would take a lot of space to display it.

Just imagine having 250 posts, that would be someting like 11111010. So base 16 is far better, and in some cases it could even save space.

And hornestly, who cares about postcount anyway?

I think we should change it back, this way is too confusing to read.

I'd rather disable post counts completely, it's useless information, that can not be used for anything.. But that doesn't seem to be an option, so instead i made it more or less impossible to read, at least for most people.

It's there somewhere.. The normal setting is base 10, another fun one, would be base 8, or perhaps R which would be the old roman numbers..

I found it and put it back so it's easy for everyone to read.
I also have changed the number of characters allowed in signatures from 25 to 50 as I have found most things you want to write have to be abbreviated and we no longer have the excuse of 'no space' for anything larger.  I don't think 50 characters is too much, as long as people's posts are not always shorter than their signature cos that is annoying.

I still haven't figured out the point of having a signature..

I arrived in Sydney on the 21st of Dec and we only jst got internet last night. YaY!!

i think signatures are cool. Whenever i email/post something or whatever over the computer i always like to say that its frm me so having a sig is easier than having to type '~Love Caitie~' or whatever everytime. LoL

But your username is next to every single post you make, so everyone already KNOW it's from you..

People who don't like to see signatures, need only go to their "Look and Layout Preferences" and click the checkbox beside "Don't show other users' signatures."
