Changes to the photo archive.

I've decided to switch to a new photo archive, therefore uploading to the old one has been disabled..

Currently all the images should have been importet to the new archive, however I still need to figure out a way to get the titles and descriptions imported too.

You need to register an account to upload anything, and you MIGHT need to be made a member of the correct group too.. (Not sure about this)

The old archive is still accessible as always, and I have no plans to disable access completely for a while.

Well, the new one is easier to administrate, and has a better internal design. (That's as how the files are stored, uploads handled, and the like)

Would you mind explaining a little why you prefer the old over the new?

The descriptions should now have been copied to the new gallery as well. Let me know if something looks odd..

I like the idea of people having to have an account to upload pictures, saved anonymous uploads and pictures not of Nikki too hopefully.
The other ones layout was better, this one has got menus and stuff on the sides which make it look a bit less nice.
But it's quite easy to upload many at a time with descriptions. We should give it a go.  We need to still have a section if possible of the 10 (or more) most recently uploaded pictures as I know thats the page I always used to go to on photos.nikkiwebster.dk

The layout is changeable, once I get around to look at the format, it's even possible to have the different albums have different designs..

The recent pics category seems like a good idea, and I think it's already possible in the system to have, at least, a list of them.

But if you're interested in new pics, it's just a matter of looking at the album overview, there you'll see an "Updated" note, and below the new pics, there'll be a "New" note. Makes it easy to find the right picture.

And for those who might wonder.. YES you can freely add your own non-Nikki related pics to your personal album. But you can't (Because of intentional blocks) use them everywhere on the net afterwards. However, it's possible to use images from the archive on the messageboard, and if you ask, it could be made possible to use them on another board as well.

Wops.. Apparently I had forgotten to change the permissions on the Nikki Album, meaning that it was not possible to add the the album..

Whenever someone adds a user, please send me your username either on the board by PM or by e-mail, then I'll add you to the right usergroup, and you'll be able to upload.
